About
I designed several different shaving razor handles for Proof Razor. Many of these handle designs are collaboration projects between Proof and other companies. Before these designs were manufactured and shipped, the concept sketches I created were a pivotal sales tool to build excitement and convince companies to work with Proof; my work ultimately allowed Proof to expand and scale significantly as a business. These designs are an exercise in fusing the design language of adjacent brands harmoniously with Proof’s design ethos; these shaving razors are an interplay between aesthetic harmony, ergonomics, usability, domestic manufacturing, and sustainability via design for circularity.
Concept Development
I spearheaded the razor handle design of each partnership collaboration. Combining Proof’s brand identity with each of these adjacent company’s design language required researching the history, inspiration, and values of each prospective brand partner. By forming a deep understanding of each of these brand’s ethos, I was successfully able to create designs that made sense aesthetically as well as functionally.
